Panoway on Wayzata Bay grew out of the work of the Lake Effect Project, which spent nearly a decade evaluating the needs of the community and developing a plan to restore, protect and enhance Wayzata’s downtown lakefront.
The Wayzata Conservancy was established in 2016 to advocate for and raise private philanthropic funds for the project. The City/Conservancy Partnership Agreement was approved by the City Council in August 2016 and outlines the roles and responsibilities of each institution related to fundraising and decision making.
